Personal Bio: I was born in Denver, CO but grew up in Randleman, NC. I was a bedside nurse for 13 years, nine of which were spent in critical care before going back to school to get my doctorate in nursing practice at UNC.  I have a specialty focus as an Adult-Gerontological Nurse Practitioner and a certificate in Nursing Education.
 

I have been married to my wonderful husband (Dan) for almost four years, and we have a beautiful daughter (Ava) that is two years old. We enjoy spending time on our farm and traveling. We have multiple dogs and cats that keep our home active and entertaining.
